1. Walkerville
Walkerville is a well-established shopping and dining destination. The neighbourhood has a wide variety of shops, including Walkerville Mercantile, a mid to high-end men’s clothing store. It’s well-curated and a great spot to look for presents!
Don’t forget to stop by the Urban Art Market, located just north of Wyandotte on Chilver. They are Windsor’s only 100% locally handmade gift shop. They carry things like pottery, candles, textiles, and accessories, all made by local artisans.
2. Ford City
Ford City is making a remarkable comeback– it has quickly become a popular neighbourhood, full of unique and trendy stores and restaurants. A staple in the neighbourhood is Pressure Drop, a café, boutique, and beer garden. It’s a truly vibrant space. Right down the street on the corner of Seminole and Drouillard, you’ll find Wolf & Rebel , a store that has a diverse stock of wellness products, apparel, stationery, and snacks. You’ll walk away with something you love.
3. Ottawa Street
There is something for everyone on Ottawa Street! Make sure to stop by and browse Going Thru Vinyl if you love music. Popular new releases and rare records – they have it all. If you’re a bookworm, make sure you head down to Juniper Books to explore their excellent collection of rare and used books. The building used to be a house and it now has a unique setup; you’ll find cookbooks in the kitchen and mysteries in the basement.
While not technically a store, The Art Lab is a studio space where classes, camps and events are held. You should try out their Splatter Room, where guests can unleash their inner artist with glow-in-the-dark paint!
